What makes the Bering Pebble watch so unique?

Scandinavian watch brand Bering is mainly known for their sleek minimalist watches. Usually round or square and without unnecessary details. When you make such straightforward designs, everything has to be right. Nothing too much or too little. Every small deviation is immediately noticeable. That is why the new Pebble watch from Bering is so special. The unusual asymmetrical shape - of which no side is the same as the other - immediately catches the eye, but is at the same time very balanced and subdued. How did Bering come up with this idea?

The Bering designers are inspired by nature in the Arctic polar region. For the development of the Pebble, the brand entered into a collaboration with the Danish designers of KiBiSi.

KiBiSi is a collaboration between (Ki) Kilo Design, (Bi) BIG Architecture and (Si) Skibsted Ideation, who you may know from the Tube Chair for interior brand Hay.

Architect Bjarke Ingels and designers Lars Holme Larsen and Jens Martin Skibsted were inspiredby the smooth pebbles along the Scandinavian coast.

These pebbles are never standard - just like the shape of the Pebble watch. No side is the same as the other side. Yet the shape radiates peace and harmony. The end result is a minimalist, modern and elegant watch with an extraordinary look.
