Smart before smartwatches existed
When smartwatches as we know them today were a long way off - Tissot introduced the first touchscreen watch back in 1999.
The Tissot T-Touch Connect Solar is a direct descendant of this first T-Touch collection. The navigation system, consisting of push buttons, electronic crown and touchscreen made of scratch-resistant sapphire glass, is designed in such a way that it can be used during the practice of any land sport such as hiking, mountain biking, cycling, basketball, etc.
Offline, the watch has the same functions as the regular T-Touch: perpetual calendar, countdown clock, various timers and alarms, and weather and altimeter functions. Even if you are not connected to your smartphone, you can still use the watch. In addition, the watch is water resistant up to 100 meters.
In addition, by pairing the watch with your smartphone via Bluetooth, you gain access to more interactive features such as activity tracking, calls, etc.
Notifications (text messages, emails) from smartphone applications are controlled via the touchscreen thanks to the proprietary operating system Sw-ALPS, which was developed entirely in Switzerland and is compatible with iOS, Android and (soon) Harmony.
Privacy guaranteed
This operating system stores your data securely on servers in Switzerland that guarantee privacy. The watch, applications and connected smartphones cannot transmit data to third parties.
Economical and sustainable: charging with sunlight
Most smart and connected watches you have to charge often. This is not necessary with the T-Touch Connect Solar. All electronic parts are energy efficient and the watch is equipped with the latest photovoltaic cells (a solar cell that converts light into electricity). More than 35 patents were filed for this during the design of this watch!
The battery life of the T-Touch Connect Solar is virtually unlimited when the watch is offline. If it's online, it can last up to six months depending on usage and sun exposure.
How does the T-Touch Solar work?
The user interface of the T-Touch Connect Solar consists of two push buttons, an electronic crown and a touchscreen (with 7 interactive zones). This allows all functions to be operated.
A long press on the start button turns on the touchscreen. A long press on the “back” button brings back the home screen. The function zones on the watch can be selected with a tap of a finger. Vibration alarms ensure safe use.
Six different models
The 47mm diameter T-Touch Connect Solar is available in satin titanium, black PVD titanium or rose gold PVD titanium. These cases are combined with straps made of silicone rubber or a titanium bracelet.
