Ice Watch never stands still and is now taking an important next step in its development with a fresh collection of future-proof watches powered by the power of the sun.

Ice-Solar watches powered by the sun

Underneath the deceptively simple appearance of the Ice Solar hides a refined technology. The inner bezel of the watch contains super thin solar cells that are charged by all light sources; Both natural and artificial. These cells charge a battery that powers the quartz movement.

This technique was supplied exclusively to Ice Watch by Citizen. The watch manufacturer that has been the leading pioneer in the field of solar energy for several decades.

Lightweight and colourful

The big advantage of a solar watch is that the battery is rechargeable and does not need to be replaced. This saves a lot of energy and environmentally unfriendly substances. That is why it is not necessary for the watch to have a metal back cover that can be opened. The entire case is made from one piece of ABS plastic. A lightweight, waterproof and above all colourful material!

Attention to detail

The environment is not solely taken into account in the production of the watch. The manual is printed on recycled paper and the watch packaging is a fun fleece sleeve made from recycled PET bottles. Handy for storing your sunglasses.
