Edifice Latest: Casio's first ever automatic watch

While the brand has previously been known as the master of digital quartz watches, Casio is now introducing an automatic movement under the Edifice brand.
EFK-100 series: 4 stainless steel watches and a carbon watch
The EFK-100 series consists of five watches. Four are made of stainless steel, and one is made of forged carbon. This is a composite material of carbon fibers kneaded in resin and then forged under high pressure at high temperatures. Carbon is used in high-end sports cars for its light weight and strength in all directions. This allows Edifice to stay true to its racing DNA and technological innovation.
Well thought through design of the dial and hands
Forged carbon has a unique marble-like texture, clearly visible in the EFK-100CD-1AER; the only stainless steel watch in this series with a carbon dial. The texture of carbon is subtly replicated in the other three models with colored dials. The dial is otherwise quite simple, with three hands and a date display. The hour and minute hands are open and have luminous tips. The case is meticulously polished and brushed, adding an extra layer of texture to the watches. The mirrored effect of the beveled edges of the indexes adds depth and contrast to the overall appearance of the dial. The date in the window is clearly legible in black on white, except on the all-black carbon model, where the date has been integrated into the dial color. Whether this is aesthetically pleasing or inconvenient remains a perennial debate among watch enthusiasts!
Stainless steel bracelet with refined finishing
The solid stainless steel bracelet is integrated with the case in line with the latest trends. The individual links have been given a mirror and hairline polish, further enhancing the metal's sheen. This type of bracelet does mean that the watch, despite its modest 39 mm size, can appear somewhat large on smaller wrists. However, it is very comfortable to wear, and the push-button clasp is sturdy.
Mechanical movement with 40-hour power reserve
All five watches are powered by an automatic caliber 5755 movement with a power reserve of approximately 40 hours and an average daily deviation of -35 to +45 seconds. This is a Seiko movement produced and modified for Casio. You can admire it in action through the caseback.
Other features
The sophisticated design of the case, bracelet, bezel, and sapphire crystal exude premium quality. This is enhanced by the stylish, high-quality deployant buckle on the urethane strap. Water resistance up to 10 ATM completes the excellent specifications for this price range of automatic watches.
All-black carbon version: EFK-100XPB-1AER
The stylish EFK-100XPB-1AER model features both the case and dial made of forged carbon. The strap is made of supple urethane and has a classic deployant clasp for added flexibility. The black look has the dynamics of a modern sports car in a typical Edifice style.
