   Nice watch that is easy to customise (watch face), also design yourself (e.g. app Facer). Because it has its own GPS, your mobile doesn't need to come with you when you exercise. Limited user manual but Google will get you there. Notifications from all my apps come in well, you can set per app whether you want to get the notifications through. Fortunately, it's also easy to temporarily mute. Typing (including swype) replies to messages goes surprisingly well, even though it's a small keyboard. There are standard replies too. Battery doesn't last all day. Fortunately, recharging is fast and 15 minutes between charges is enough to do the end of the day.

   Mooi horloge dat gemakkelijk is aan te passen (wijzerplaat), ook zelf ontwerpen (bijv. app Facer). Doordat het een eigen GPS heeft hoeft je mobiel niet mee als je gaat sporten. Beperkte gebruiksaanwijzing maar met Google kom je er wel. Meldingen van al mijn apps komen goed binnen, je kunt per app instellen of je de meldingen door wilt krijgen. Gelukkig is het ook gemakkelijk tijdelijk stil te zetten. Het intypen (ook swype) van antwoorden op berichtjes gaat verrassend goed, ook al is het een klein toetsenbord. Er zijn ook standaardantwoorden. Batterij gaat niet de hele dag mee. Gelukkig gaat het opladen snel en is 15 minuten tussendoor opladen voldoende om wel het einde van de dag te halen.

   Product likes super. Easy to adjust. Wears light. Very nice when the sound of the phone is off that the watch vibrates. That way you still know if you have a message or a call. Easy to link to whatsapp and Facebook

   Product bevalt super. Makkelijk in te stellen. Draagt licht. Erg fijn als het geluid van de telefoon uit is dat het horloge trilt. Zo weet je toch of je een berichtje hebt of gebeld word. Makkelijk te koppelen aan whatsapp en Facebook

   I am very happy with this smartwatch. Apart from the fact that this is finally a nice stylish smartwatch, it is also very nice to use. Lots of options for tracking different sports, controlling your phone, the Google assistant and there are endless possibilities in the look too. I don't want to be without it anymore.

   Ik ben heel erg blij met deze smartwatch. Buiten het feit dat dit eindelijk een mooie stijlvolle smartwatch is, is hij ook heel fijn in gebruik. Veel mogelijkheden voor tracken van verschillende sporten, bedienen van je telefoon, de Google assistant en ook in het uiterlijk zijn oneindig veel mogelijkheden. Ik wil niet meer zonder.

   A lot for little! Admittedly, I was quite sceptical about the Fossil Q gen 4. There are so many smartwatch manufacturers on the market that the bar is very high. Nevertheless, the Fossil Q gen 4 surprised me very positively after several weeks of use. I cannot criticise the design and finish of the watch. Looking at it, it is easy to see that Fossil has been a leading company for decades. Currently, I don't have a single scratch on my watch, the quality of the materials used is very good. I was also very satisfied with the display for the most part. However, it would be nice if it could be a bit brighter so you can also look at it properly in direct sunlight. The watch responds wonderfully quickly to commands and thus feels smooth. All apps used launch at lightning speed. I have mixed feelings with the battery life achieved. If you look at the competition, the battery life could be slightly better, but the usage time of just over a day is still pretty good. I am very happy that GPS, NFC and a protection against water are on board. Thanks to the built-in GPS, I no longer need to take my smartphone with me to run, which is a very nice addition. Connecting to my smartphone was child's play thanks to NFC. The watch is waterproof so swimming with the watch is now also possible. All in all, I think the Fossil Q is now the perfect smartwatch for many people. The beautiful design is an eye-catcher, on the other hand, it can now easily be used for workouts, also useful here is the heart rate monitor! However, if you are not a fan of the Snapdragon Wear 2100, you will have to wait until watches are introduced with Qualcomm's upcoming Snapdragon Wear 3100. I am very happy with it, the price/quality ratio is super of this Fossil!

   Veel voor weinig! Toegegeven, ik was nogal sceptisch over de Fossil Q gen 4. Er zijn zoveel smartwatch fabrikanten op de markt dat de lat erg hoog ligt. Toch heeft de Fossil Q gen 4 mij na een aantal weken gebruik zeer positief verrast. Ik kan het ontwerp en de afwerking van het horloge niet bekritiseren. Als je ernaar kijkt, kun je gemakkelijk zien dat Fossil al tientallen jaren een toonaangevend bedrijf is. Momenteel heb ik nog geen enkele kras op mijn horloge, de kwaliteit van de gebruikte materialen is erg goed. Ik was ook zeer tevreden over het display voor het grootste deel. Het zou wel fijn zijn als het iets helderder kon zijn zodat je er ook goed naar kan kijken in direct zonlicht. Het horloge reageert heerlijk snel op commando’s en voelt daarmee vlot aan. Alle gebruikte apps starten razendsnel op. Ik heb gemengde gevoelens met de bereikte levensduur van de batterij. Als je naar de concurrentie kijkt, kan de levensduur van de batterij iets beter zijn, maar de gebruiksduur van iets meer dan een dag is toch redelijk goed. Ik ben heel blij dat GPS, NFC en een bescherming tegen water aan boord zijn. Dankzij de ingebouwde GPS hoef ik mijn smartphone niet meer mee te nemen om te rennen, dat is een zeer fijne toevoeging. Verbinden met mijn smartphone was kinderlijk eenvoudig dankzij NFC. Het horloge is waterdicht dus zwemmen met het horloge is nu ook mogelijk. Al met al denk ik dat de Fossil Q nu de perfecte smartwatch is voor veel mensen. Het prachtige ontwerp is een eye-catcher, aan de andere kant kan het nu ook eenvoudig worden gebruikt voor trainingen, ook handig hierbij is de hartslagmeter!. Als je echter geen fan bent van de Snapdragon Wear 2100, moet je wachten tot horloges worden geïntroduceerd met de aankomende Snapdragon Wear 3100 van Qualcomm. Ik ben er erg blij mee, de prijs/kwaliteit verhouding is super van deze Fossil!
