Product description

The LIP Himalaya watch is the first ever watch to to be worn at an altitude of over 8.000 m. The watch was worn by French mountaineers Maurice Herzog and Louis Lachenal reached the summit of Annapurna in 1950. Five years later, wearing the same watch, Lionel Terray and Jean Couzy set a new record, making the ascent to the 5th highest peak in the world at an altitude of 8,485 m. The current Himalaya watches are based on the 1950 design and available with different complications and in different styles, such as chronograph, automatic with open heart dial and quartz.

Please note: On Himalaya watches with a day-date indication, the day is always in French.

This LIP watch has a case made of Steel silver with a diameter of 40 mm and is fitted with a leather strap. Inside the case lies a Miyota movement and the watch features a K1 Mineral crystal.

The watch is 5ATM. This means the watch is suitable for showering. The watch comes with 2 Year Warranty.
