Alpina watches

The name Alpina originates from the Alps and the men that conquered those mountains: the Alpinists. These men had five great principles: they were perseverant, thought independently, trusted their instincts, looked for their limits and last but not least forgot about their "Swiss" roots. These five principles are what Gottlieb Hauser had in mind when he started Alpina, and these five principles are still passed forward with every Alpina watch.

History of Alpina

Alpina is a Swiss brand established by Gottlieb Hauser. In 1883, he united independent Swiss watchmakers and under his leadership, they achieved the highest quality and innovated at a rapid pace. In a few years, they were already producing their own movements.
In 1901 the name Alpina was registered, and the movements were installed into their watches. In 1920, Alpina was being sold in more than 2000 shops worldwide.

Vision

The brand has always been a very sporty brand and still today Alpina manufactures extremely reliable professional watches with the 5 Alpina principles still in mind.  Thanks to the technical advances the brand still produce and improve movements to match the demands of modern sports challenges.

Factory

Alpina is a Swiss brand, where each and every watch is hand assembled by highly skilled watch makers in the factory at Plan-Les-Ouates, near Geneva Switzerland.

Collections

The collection of Alpina consists of four major lines:
Alpiner
Startimer
Seastrong
Horological Smartwatch

Alpiner

The name of this line dates back to the 1950's when a watch was released with four main sporty features: Anti-shock, anti-magnetic, water-resistant and stainless steel case. Of course, all the watches in this line have these four features

Startimer

In the 1920's, Alpina was one of the major producers of (military) pilot watches. In this line, all of the watches pay tribute to the watches that were used by those pilots to navigate around the world.

Seastrong

In 1969, the Alpina released the Seastrong. An automatic professional diving watch water resistant to 200 meters. The watches in this line are more than 200 meters water resistant.

Horological Smartwatch

The watch for the sportsmen of today. Still want to have the traditional style, but do you still want your watch connected? Alpina has the answer.
